MARES stands for "Malaysian Amateur Radio Emergency Service Society", a non-profit, non-government organisation located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. MARES members consists of amateur radio enthusiast, who volunteered to be ready to provide communication service in time of Disaster, when normal communication channels are either down or congested.
